This is not true luxury, and we don’t pretend otherwise

Amazon carries no Chanel and no Cartier. What is here is attainable luxury: cashmere and silk, gold vermeil and solid 14k, lab-grown diamonds, Swiss and Japanese watches under a thousand dollars.

So the promise isn’t the label. It’s that things are described accurately.

Fine, vermeil, plated

Amazon shelves a 14kt gold bracelet directly beside a gold-tone brass cuff. Both are real. Both are worth buying. They are not the same object, and a store that shows them the same way is lying by omission.

Every piece of jewelry here is marked fine (solid precious metal, real stones), vermeil or gold-filled, or plated. You’ll notice we only label the second two. Solid gold doesn’t need a badge — the absence is the signal.
